HELPING HANDS CLOSET

Picture
The Helping Hands Closet was started as a way to give back to the community and provide valuable job skills training at the same time.  The Helping Hands Closet provides free clothing and personal hygiene items to individuals in need in our community. The closet works on a referral basis from local agencies or organizations.

The closet is staffed by individuals receiving services from LRC.  All clothing is washed, folded or ironed, sorted, tagged, and then organized in the store room for people to find what they need quickly.  Donations of gently used clothing of all sizes (children to adults) and hygiene products, as well as monetary donations, are always welcome and greatly appreciated.

Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Days:
 Monday - Friday (Closed Holidays)

Giving Back to the Community

LRC partners with community organizations to enhance community life.  The agency assists in connecting people with other civic associations and community relationships.  Lake Region Corporation strategic plan contains specific outcomes aimed at building networks and social capital to impact the quality of community life.
