1. You will be expected to work hard and support each other as team members.

2. You must be flexible and responsive to changing needs and circumstances in the lives of those we serve.

3. As a Direct Support Professional you will spend most of your shift in direct contact with people who need assistance. This assistance may include bathing, dressing, and eating. Specific duties will vary depending on the people you support and the shift you work.

4. You will be expected to attend scheduled training and in-services which are usually at different times than your scheduled shift.

5. You will be required to have a valid driver's license and a good driving record - you may transport people you support in company vehicles.

6. Your work environment demands that you be trustworthy.

7. You must come to work on time since most people served cannot be left alone in their homes.

8. Some shifts require your availability for evening, early morning, overnight, weekends and holiday shifts.

9. You will be required to complete a criminal record check and drug test prior to hire.

10. You will be required to become CPR and First Aid certified through agency provided training.
