The Helping Hands Closet was started as a way to give back to the community while providing valuable job skills training at the same time. The Helping Hands Closet provides free clothing and personal hygiene items to individuals in need within our community. The closet operates on a referral basis through local agencies or organizations and is housed at the LRC Administrative Offices at 224 3rd St. NW.
The closet is staffed by individuals receiving services from LRC. All clothing is washed, folded or ironed, sorted, tagged, and organized to help people quickly find what they need. Donations of gently used clothing in all sizes (children through adults), hygiene products, and monetary contributions are always welcome and greatly appreciated.
